You Are Called
We want to help every mama discover how she is uniquely called to love others.
Opportunities abound for making a greater impact to our families, community, and world. We encourage moms to serve and support each other through our outreach projects. This is love in action: real-life moms supporting, encouraging, and loving real-life moms.

Safe Families Blessing Boxes
We are partnering with Safe Families for Children of Indianapolis to provide their Host Families with blessing boxes!
Safe Families for Children is a growing Kingdom movement that reframes how families are supported during times of crisis. The model is simple, yet radical. Volunteer Host Families, serving solely out of compassion, provide parents a loving home where they can safely place their children in times of crisis. Crises range from including homelessness, medical emergencies, substance abuse and more.
The Host Family Volunteers pour their heart into the children that are placed temporarily in their own homes. These boxes will provide much needed recognition and encouragement, reminding each volunteer they are seen, loved, and cherished.
Join us on Saturday, August 14th from 10am-12pm at the Messiah Lutheran Church ELCA: 801 S Green Street, Brownsburg. RSVP below.

Love Thy Neighbor
February is the month of love, and what better way to say I Love You than to create a blessing bag! We challenge you and your family to create four blessing bags filled with goodies to give to one neighbor each week in February.
Shine, mama worked with local families to prepare 100 blessing bags to give to moms in need in Hendricks County, Indiana.
Let Them Dream
Shine, mama is helping recently-homeless parents dream by providing materials to create their own personal vision boards. Select from our Amazon Wish List to donate new items such as cork boards, colorful pens, and index cards.
We have partnered with Family Promise of Hendricks County to support and encourage their graduate families to move from survive to thrive.
We continue to support moms through this time of isolation! We've heard very clearly from Family Promise Graduate moms that one of their biggest struggles is how to keep the kids learning and entertained during this extended time at home. Can't we all relate?
Therefore, we would like to provide each graduate family with a Project Pack, including *new* arts and crafts supplies! We'll encourage each family to complete one project a week and will update our Facebook page (@shinemamaindy) with the completed projects.

During this time of confinement and isolation it can be difficult to find ways to serve our community. There is a need for educational activities for families who do not have access to computers or internet and may not have adequate toys for learning-at-home. Join Shine, mama, Inc. by donating Learn-and-Play Packs! These packs can include *gently-used* toys, games, and books that encourage learning while playing. We request donations for all age ranges, including middle and high school items.
Gather your family and create your own Learn-and-Play box(es):
Three to five items appropriate for a certain age: infant, preschool, early elementary through high school
A themed box that includes a complete kit for learning: coloring, painting, gardening, etc.
Add hand-drawn pictures from your kids to the recipients
Include a list of items and how they can be used for continual learning
Be sure to label the outside of your box with the appropriate age or theme
Be sure to clean all toys, books, games and work with clean hands
